There is no cost to apply and no cost for our aiding you in the process. You will not have to submit a business report, reapply, or go through any complicated reimbursement process. Once you have your Public Utilities Commission (PUC) issued approval notice you simply provide it to your carrier *and they automatically deduct 50% from your bill before it's sent to you! How can it be so simple? You will see an assortment of surcharges, fees, and taxes on every California telephone bill. By looking at one of your bills you'll notice the California Teleconnect Fund surcharge of .13% This has grown to a 33 MILLION DOLLAR fund for fiscal year '08-'09! Thes funds are designed specifically be used to aid you in appreciation for all you do for the community by making technology more affordable and accessible to you for your benefit and the benefit of those your serve. Caring individuals created this site to provide information, links, and downloads to help eligible Non-Profit Community Based Organizations (CBO's), 2-1-1 Information and Referral participants, those providing Job Training, Job Placement assistance, or Internet Access for the information poor, as well as Community Colleges, Public, Charter, and Private K-12 Schools, Public Libraries, Health Clinics, and California Telehealth Network (CTN) participating Medical Facilties. The fiscal buget grew nearly 11 million more than last year, the surcharge was lowered! More eligible entities are encouraged by the California Public Utilities Commission to participate.
